FIELD: automating power supply of a traction network.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used on a multi-track section of an AC traction network with a sectioning point. The essence of the proposed solution lies in the fact that at the moment of a short circuit in the traction network the rooted protection with a device for comparing the absolute values of currents in the contact networks of even and odd paths is used to determine a switch with the highest short circuit current is determined in one half-zone, which is called faulty. Further, according to the short circuit control device at the sectioning point, the type of short circuit is determined: if it is temporary, then a block is set to turn off the controlled disconnectors, and they remain on, and if there is a stable short circuit, then all controlled disconnectors are turned off. Based on the time of the regular automatic reclosure, in 5-7 s from the moment of the short circuit occurrence, all switches at the traction substations are switched on, except for the faulty one.
EFFECT: increasing reliability of the traction network by eliminating the switching on of the contact network supply line switch on the short circuit.
