FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply for electric networks contacting with current collectors of vehicles. Device of AC traction network comprises traction substations, contact network including sections of contact network, traction loads, sectioning station, which includes alternating current circuit breakers, current and voltage measuring transformers, relay protection and automation device (RPA). Partitioning post connects the contact network sections with switches. RPA unit is connected by communication channels with current and voltage measurement transformers and high-voltage switches. Tractive loads are connected by one leads to rail circuits, while others are connected to catenary sections. At that, the device of the sectioning station contains four switches and the distribution device is made as per quadrangle scheme, at that longitudinal and transverse sectioning of the overhead contact system is performed by one of the switches.

EFFECT: higher reliability of traction network.
