FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, namely to mechanical means of measuring dimensions, used in quality control of welds and joints, and enables to determine geometrical parameters of welded joints and surface defects. Universal template consists of four-sided base 1, in which guide slots are installed: below and vertically, stop 2 and above and horizontally plate 3; on the right end of plank 3 in the guide groove probe 4 is vertically located, at the bottom of which needle 5 is fixed; stop 2, plank 3 and probe 4 are fixed in grooves by setting screws 6…8 with spring nuts. In order to determine parameters of control over use of the following scales and gauges: A is diameter scale – at joint of base 1 and stop 2 on the left; B – horizontal scale with vernier – at joint of base 1 and plank 3; C – vertical bidirectional scale with vernier – on right side of slot of probe 4 and plate 3; D – vertical unidirectional scale with vernier – at joint of base 1 and stop 2 on the right; E is the clearance scale in the tapered bottom of anvil 2; F, G – edges cutting scale – on upper side of base 1; H – linear scale – on the left side of base 1; J – indicator mark – from above stop 2; N, O – gauges of elevation in angular dimensions – to the right of support 2 in the corners of the lower part of base 1; P, R, S, T are calibers of linear dimension cathetuses respectively: in upper angle of probe 4; in the upper edge of the right edge of plank 3; in right corner of upper side of base 1; in the left corner of upper side of base 1; U, V, W – calibers of angles of cutting – on upper side of base 1, respectively: on left edge to right of caliber of cathetus T part, at middle between scales F and G; on right edge to left of cathetuses S part; X – caliber of cutting radius – in the form of corresponding rounding of left upper angle of probe 4; Y, Z are calibers of angles of cutting-shape of convergent bottom of needle 5 and stop 2. Template contains supports 9, which serve for installation of template on cylindrical surfaces of controlled object and fixed in lower left part of base 1.

EFFECT: possibility to significantly expand functional capabilities, increase accuracy and reliability of single universal template of nondestructive testing specialist (while maintaining its compactness and low weight).
