FIELD: aerosol generating systems.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aerosol generating system for generating an inhaled aerosol. System comprises electric heater (4) for evaporation of aerosol-forming substance and battery (3) for supplying electric heater. System further comprises control unit (2), wherein control unit is configured to detect whether electric heater is in operation and whether battery is charged. Control unit is additionally configured to prevent battery charging when electric heater is in operation, and to prevent operation of electric heater when battery is charged.
EFFECT: technical result consists in prevention of occurrence of undesirable situation for user using aerosol generating system.
