FIELD: rail vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to axle boxes of railway vehicles. Axle box liner installation unit includes washer ring and retainer. Ring is installed at the shaft gland transition, between the box bearing and the increased shaft section. Retaining surface of the ring is directed towards the bearing. Fixture includes an annular housing and at least one connector. Connector retains the backing ring from displacement. Circular case is fixed on the enlarged section of the shaft due to friction forces.
EFFECT: reliable fixation of the backing ring in the box unit.
