FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire safety, namely to methods and devices for detecting fire or overheating in compartments of aircraft engines of aircrafts. Such a result is achieved by calculating temperature and rate of change thereof based on readings of a linear thermoresistive sensor, determining by these parameters a fire or overheating, generating and transmitting corresponding information on fire or overheating, wherein to determine fire or overheating at average temperature, sum of temperature and value proportional to rate of change of temperature is found, this sum is compared with a predetermined threshold value of average temperature, and if this threshold value is exceeded, a signal on fire or overheat is generated.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the time of fire detection or overheating.
