SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pneumatic tire of a vehicle and to a method of making such a tire, where the tire comprises a metal component, a textile component and a rubber-based cured component, connected to each other by curing, and wherein the rubber-based cured component comprises lignin treated by hydrothermal carbonisation. Invention also relates to use of lignin treated by hydrothermal carbonisation in rubber-based pneumatic tire component.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to manufacture tires having improved operational characteristics and higher safety for environment.
