FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for processing wastes of tanning industry or non-standard leather raw material. Method for producing a bioactive collagen product involves soaking collagen-containing material, alkali-salt treatment thereof, salt washing with sodium sulphate, neutralization, repeated washing of the product in pure water and mechanical grinding. Then one performs dissolution in an acidic agent consisting of a fermented milk composition and a combined whey in ratio of 1:1, having titrated acidity value of 270–310 ºT and active medium reaction to 4.0. Dissolution in the acidic agent is carried out at a temperature of ±36–20 °C, the dissolution length makes 4–6 days.
EFFECT: disclosed method for producing a bioactive collagen product provides cutting and simplifying the process cycle, high output of the ready product, allowing use thereof in veterinary and cosmetic industry.
