FIELD: textile industry; protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a wrapped textile sheath for protecting an electroconductive elongated object from electromagnetic interference and/or radio frequency interference and/or electrostatic discharges and a method for production thereof. Sheath contains multiple warp threads and at least one weft thread interwoven with each other to form a woven billet. Woven billet has opposite sides extending along the entire length of the billet between opposite ends. Opposite sides can be wrapped around central longitudinal axis, so that they are superimposed on each other, and elongated object is placed in cavity of sheath. At least some warp threads are provided as substantially flat, thin electroconductive threads, which protect electroconductive elongated object from action of electromagnetic interference, and/or radio frequency interference, and/or electrostatic discharges.
EFFECT: disclosed are a sheath for protection against electromagnetic interference and a method for production thereof.
