FIELD: textile, paper.
SUBSTANCE: application describes a wearable textile shell, resistant to ends peeling, to protect elongated objects and a method for manufacture of such a shell. The shell has an elongated wall containing warp threads extending generally parallel to the longitudinal center axis of the shell and weft threads extending along the circumferential perimeter of the shell. The warp threads and the weft threads are intertwined with each other according to some weaving pattern. The warp threads are arranged in discrete groups alternating along the circumferential perimeter of the shell wall with adjacent groups containing a different number of warp threads.
EFFECT: in such a construction, the wall contains groups with an increased number of warp threads that increase shell stiffness and abrasion resistance, and groups with fewer warp threads improve shell flexibility along its central longitudinal axis.
