SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video tracking systems of objects based on television (TV) or thermal imaging (TPV) principle. Disclosed is a method of video tracking of an object, in which an image sensor employs a multiple increase in the frame (field) frequency and an operation for converting a video signal of high frame (field) frequency to a video signal at a standard frame rate (field) of 50 Hz by thinning a sequence of frames from an image sensor, storing stored frames and multiple reduction of the rate of reading digital video signal of stored frames of the video sequence for interfacing with video monitor parameters with standard frame rate (fields).

EFFECT: prevention of disruption of tracking caused by limited permissible values of relative speed and acceleration of tracking objects.
