FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to DC traction electric motor control systems of vehicles. Device for controlling speed of traction motor comprises thyristor, anode of which is connected to common point of connection of power supply and first output of resistor, cathode – to the common point of connection of the first output of the voltage sensor and the first output of anchors winding of the traction motor, the second output of which is connected to the common connection point of the second output of the voltage sensor, cathode of the fully controlled thyristor, diode cathode and the first output of the current sensor, the second output of which is connected to the first terminal of the traction motor excitation winding, which second output is connected to common point of connection of diode anode, ground and first output of capacitor, second output of which is connected to common point of connection of anode of fully controlled thyristor and second output of resistor.
EFFECT: increased reliability of traction motor protection against anchor current spikes at restoration of supply voltage.
