FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processes of dissolving irradiated nuclear fuel (INF), specifically to dissolution of voloxidised fuel consisting of highly dispersed particles. Method for dissolution of voloxidised irradiated nuclear fuel includes loading of voloxidised INF into container basket with perforated shell, movement of container basket into dissolvent device, dissolution of fuel, emptying of dissolvent device and extraction of container basket. Prior to loading of voloxidated INF on the outer surface of the shell of the container basket, a sealing layer is applied from the material compatible with INF and having high adhesion to the metal surface and internal cohesion, which is quickly destructed at the beginning of dissolution when in contact with the dissolving reagent.
EFFECT: invention enables to eliminate losses of INF and contamination of process rooms and communications.
