FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to explosion physics and high pressure physics. Method of multi-focal electric explosive initiation of detonation in blasting explosive involves use of high-current high-voltage generator, two-wire transmitting line, electrically exploding conductors and blasting explosive. Nanosecond electric pulse from the high-current high-voltage generator is supplied in compliance with the impedance of the generator of the double-wire transmitting line to a row of electrically exploding conductors, which are installed in series in breaks of one or both electrodes of this transmitting line at points of future centers of synchronous detonation. Space around exploding conductors is filled with blasting explosive substance. In nanosecond electric explosion of conductor in adjacent space shock wave is formed, behind the front of which there is a volumetric explosion, leading directly to formation of detonation wave in blasting explosive substance.

EFFECT: purpose of the invention is synchronous initiation of several foci of detonation and reduction of time from the beginning of electric pulse supply to formation of a shock wave and detonation of blasting explosive.
