SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of glutamine, preferably in the form of free amino acids, dipeptides and/or tripeptides, when producing a nutritional composition for improving research behaviour and memory operation in children under the age of one year or toddlers and/or treating or preventing disturbed or impaired research behaviour and memory function in children under the age of one year or toddlers. Said effect is observed within 24 months from the moment of introduction of said composition. Said child suffers from allergies or inflammation of the intestine, or has a risk of developing allergies. Non-therapeutic method of improving research behaviour, memory and social interaction in the above children or preventing or reducing the risk of disturbed or weakened research behaviour, operation of memory and social interaction in said children involves enteral administration or oral administration of nutrient composition containing glutamine, preferably in the form of free amino acids, dipeptides and/or tripeptides. Also presented is a set of parts comprising a first container containing glutamine, preferably in form of free amino acids, dipeptides and/or tripeptides, at least one indigestible oligosaccharide and a second container containing Bifidobacterium breve.

EFFECT: set of parts is used to improve research behaviour and memory in the above children.
