SUBSTANCE: automated fish protection system includes control unit, which is connected to water condition monitoring means, sonar facility and electrodes. Control unit is configured to obtain data from water and sonar monitoring means, to process the obtained data and to transmit electric pulses to the electrodes. Water condition monitoring devices include sensors of water flow rate and water temperature. Control unit is configured to change the interval between electric pulses transmitted to electrodes, taking into account data on water flow rate, and change of duration of electric pulses transmitted to electrodes, taking into account data on water temperature.
EFFECT: invention provides reduced risk of fish ingress into water intake hydraulic structures.
