FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of external lighting and concerns methods of controlling lighting installations included in the outdoor lighting system. According to the method, the lighting installation is controlled by controlling the level of power consumed by the lighting installation, depending on the readings of sensors which control certain areas corresponding to lighting installations. Adjustment of the power level consumed by the lighting installation is carried out depending on the design intensity of the objects on the illuminated section.
EFFECT: technical result is wider field of use, wider range of methods for controlling lighting installation of outdoor lighting, providing low power consumption.
