FIELD: lighting devices.

SUBSTANCE: means for controlling LED lighting used in control systems for internal and external lighting of industrial enterprises and warehouses. The method for controlling a lighting device comprises a calibration stage and an operating stage, wherein during the calibration stage the desired dimming curve is obtained and stored in the memory of the control unit. An LED lamp is used as a lighting device. The intensity of the light emitted by it is controlled using a photosensor placed on the body of the lamp; the mutual dependence between the output voltage of the photosensor and the control voltage is used as a light regulating curve. At the calibration stage, the normalization coefficients of the photosensor output signal when exposed to extraneous light sources are determined and stored in memory, and at the operating stage, the photosensor output voltage is compared with the value stored in the control unit’s memory and, if they differ, a mismatch signal is generated, if positive value of which the light intensity of the base LED lamp is reduced, and if the mismatch signal is negative, the light intensity of the base LED lamp is increased, ensuring that the illumination of the surface irradiated by the LED lamp is maintained at a given level.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of controlling the illumination of the surface irradiated by a lighting device based on the light flux reflected from it in the presence of extraneous light sources.
