FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely to electric power installations of vessels with frequency converters and propeller motors. Ship electric power plant comprises main diesels or turbines and main synchronous generators, on stator of which there are two similar three-phase windings, linear voltages at which are shifted by 30 electric degrees, stator windings of which are connected through automatic circuit breakers to two supply lines of the main distribution board, frequency converters, each of which consists of 12-pulse rectifier and a self-contained voltage inverter, to the output of which a propulsion motor is connected. Two primary windings of the transformer connected to the star and delta are connected through automatic circuit breakers to two power supply lines of the main switchboard, and the secondary winding of the transformer is connected through automatic circuit breaker to distribution board of other ship consumers.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of electric power plant with smaller dimensions and weight.
