FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of aluminum-based nanostructure composite material. It can be used in conditions of variable and impact loads, such as high-loaded structural elements experiencing considerable vibration and / or impact effects. Mixture of aluminum powder with size of 20÷200 mcm, magnesium powder with size of 20÷200 mcm in amount of 3–9 wt% and powder of fullerene C60 with size of less than 200 mcm in amount of 0.3 wt% is loaded into planetary mill in argon atmosphere, treated at rotation speed ≈800 rpm for 20 minutes. Billet is compacted in argon at pressure 0.2 GPa and treated in argon at 150 °C for 60 minutes. Hot pressing is carried out at pressure 1.2 GPa and temperature 350 °C for 5 minutes, then treated at 180 °C for 72 hours in an argon atmosphere and cooled to room temperature for 3 hours.

EFFECT: higher plasticity, hardness and tensile and flexural strengths.
