FIELD: composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a nanostructural composite material based on aluminium modified with carbon nanotubes and can be used in mechanical engineering and the aerospace industry. A mixture of aluminium powder containing 0.6 wt.% stearic acid and carbon nanotubes in an amount of 1.5 to 1.9 wt.% are processed for 190 minutes in an attritor at a rotation speed of 390 rpm. The resulting powder mixture is pressed into a workpiece at a temperature of 20°C and a pressure of 430 MPa, followed by hot pressing the resulting workpiece at a temperature of 545°C and a pressure of 610 MPa.

EFFECT: increase in the microhardness and strength of the aluminium-based composite material.
