FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for making a protective element for an optical fibre cable, containing, wt. %, by weight of composition 20–70 polypropylene, 15–60 high-density polyethylene (HDPE), 0.5–25 copolymer of propylene with ethylene (PE copolymer ), 2.5–15 olefin composite-composite containing di-block-copolymer of ethylene-propylene/isotactic polypropylene (EP-IPP), which has proportion of ethylene 43-48 of weight of di-block-copolymer, 0.001–20 of one or more nucleating agent , filler and additive. Weight ratio of PP to HDPE is more than 1. Protective element for fibre-optic cable and fibre-optic cable are also described.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of whitening in load in buffer tubes used in fibre-optic cables.
