FIELD: cables.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a composition for producing buffer tubes of a fiber-optic cable, containing, in weight percent (wt %) in terms of weight of the composition: polypropylene (22–42.95 %), high density polyethylene (50–65 %), compatibilizer (7–12 %), nucleating agent, which is at least one of the sodium salt of 2,2'-methylene-bis-(4,6-di-tert-butylphenyl)phosphate, a calcium salt of hexahydrophthalic acid, talc and calcium carbonate (0.05–5.0 %). Also disclosed is a buffer tube for fiber-optic cables and a fiber-optic cable containing a tube.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a composition for buffer tubes with improved properties, such as retention of the module after aging, low absorption of gel, low values of low-temperature brittleness and improved melt strength.
