SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a corrugator unit for an extrusion system, to an extrusion system comprising a corrugator unit of this type, and to a method of operation of this corrugator unit. Corrugator for extrusion system for forming tubular plastic article comprises multiple mould blocks; guide path, along which during operation of the corrugator unit the mould units in each case are directed in pairs from the initial area of the guide path to the output area of the guide path; two first return tracks, which are located on both sides of guide track and along which during operation corrugate unit mould units are directed from output area to initial area; and two second return tracks, which are also located on both sides of guide track and by which during operation of corrugator unit separate blocks of mould can be extracted from first return tracks and/or inserted thereon, wherein two second return paths are arranged between guide track and first return tracks.
EFFECT: invention provides an improved corrugated aggregate.
