FIELD: methods of formation on synthetic wallboard of patters, for instance, wood texture to impart natural wood appearance. SUBSTANCE: synthetic wallboard is made by mixing 35-80 wt.% of thermoplastic polymer material with 20-65 wt. % of cellulose ground material. In the course of the first grinding of entire surface at least one side of synthetic wall board, many curved tracks running in the same direction are formed. Applied to said surface with curved tracks is dye which impregnates particles of wood flour found on wallboard surface to make impression of pattern blurring. Dye also penetrates into deepened parts of curved tracks to form intensified pigment layer. During the second grinding, the whole surface treated with dye is subjected to abrasive attrition expect for deepened pigment layer to form increased number of curved tracks and to form pattern featuring appearance of texture of natural wood. Then wood texture pattern is printed on ground surface. Method allows formation of pattern whose appearance is similar to texture of natural wood due to concomitant visual impression from pattern and wood texture. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 12 cl, 14 dwg
