FIELD: beverage preparation devices.

SUBSTANCE: beverage preparation capsule intended for a beverage preparation apparatus comprises a cup-like capsule body having a first end and a second end and forming a cavity for accommodating the ingredient. Outlet hole is located in said second end and communicates with said cavity. Inlet membrane is located at the first end so that to close the cavity with the ingredient. Capsule comprises an elongated element extending from the second end into the cavity and having a channel extending through the elongated element from the end of the elongated element located on the opposite side from the second end. Cavity has a fluid communication with the outlet through the said channel.

EFFECT: invention prevents leakage of the beverage from the capsule after stoppage of water supply due to availability of the elongated element.
