FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to wireless communication and can be used for improved puncturing and low-density parity check (LDPC) code structure. Method comprises steps of encoding a set of information bits based on an LDPC code to generate a codeword, wherein the LDPC code is determined by the base matrix having a first number of variable nodes and a second number of control nodes; puncturing by a puncturing module of the wireless communication device according to the puncturing pattern in the code word, corresponding to at least two of the first number of variable nodes in the base matrix, to create a punctured codeword, wherein base matrix includes at least one additional variable node for said at least two punctured variable nodes, and each additional variable node is associated with one control unit, wherein control unit is connected to pair of punctured variable nodes; and transmitting a radio frequency signal containing transmission symbols associated with the punctured codeword.

EFFECT: technical result is improved efficiency of punctured LDPC codes.
