FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely to ship propulsion units with reduced vibration and emitted noise levels, in which a shaft line with bearings is mounted inside a shaft line frame, vibration-insulated from the ship hull. Vibration damping device of vibration-isolated shaft line from the ship hull consists of a shaft line frame, inside of which there is mounted a shaft line with support and thrust bearings, installed on vibration-isolating fixtures, as well as vibration damping plates, which are fixed on the shaft line frame by means of fasteners. Plates consist of attached to each other alternating metal layers and layers of vibration-absorbing material, and in places of plate attachment all layers, except for one metal layer used for attachment of laminated plate to frame, have cutouts for installation of fasteners.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of vibration isolation shaft line from ship hull even at failure or destruction of one or several vibroisolating attachments of shaft line.
