FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combined transport facilities of high cross-country capacity and thrust-to-weight ratio and can be used to weaken structure and strength of ice by means of preliminary blind slit excision in thick ice cover. Arctic icebreaker comprises bearing platform, sealed cabin, main drive of pneumatic wheel propulsors from internal combustion engine and additional helicopter-type propulsion power plant installed in center of mass on chassis. Water-jet devices are installed on rear axle. Additional sturdy control cabin is installed at stern of bearing platform. Propulsors are mounted by-tracks on middle axles arranged under bearing platform. Front axle, height-adjustable hydraulic cylinder, is located beyond outer boundary of bearing platform. Carrying screw is installed with possibility of reverse movement and negative pitch. On aft part of bearing platform there is a high-speed axle with circular disk saws fixed on it, which are adjusted and fixed by hydraulic cylinders in guide seats in vertical position.
EFFECT: cutting of non-through grooves in solid surface structure of ice coating for continuous stroke of ice-breakers.
