FIELD: shipsbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices that facilitate the movement of ships when overcoming the ice coverings of rivers, seas, oceans. The device for increasing the ice-breaking ability of ships contains centrifugal hammers placed at the ends of rods flexible in the plane of their rotation, mounted on a horizontally located drive shaft, along it. Wherein additional loads are placed on the rods of the drummers. The design of the mechanism of the centrifugal drummer is installed on floating tanks with a ski sliding surface, connected with the ship's hull and placed ahead in the direction of the ship's movement. The device can be used not only on icebreakers, but also on other ships, in order to avoid ice captivity.
EFFECT: increasing the speed of the ships in ice by reducing their resistance to the movement of the ship and adding additional traction force to the ship to the traction force of the ship propulsor.
