FIELD: space engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing composite oxides having a Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) layer structure and related to a homologous phase of AO·(ABO3)2. Method of producing complex manganite oxide BaLn2Mn2O7+δ, where Ln is selected from group Nd, Pr, Gd, includes preparation of charge containing manganese oxide, rare-earth metal oxide and barium oxide, mixing of initial components, molding the obtained mixture into tablets and subsequent two-step annealing in a gaseous medium, wherein said components are taken at an atomic ratio Ba:Ln:Mn=1.0:1.9:2.0, and annealing is carried out in an oxygen-containing gas medium while maintaining a given oxygen pressure value in range Po2=10-5.0÷10-5.2 atm, wherein at the first step, heating is carried out to temperature of 1,173 K with holding for 24 hours, and at a second step – to temperature of 1,573 K with holding for 48 hours. Mixture of argon and oxygen inert gas can be used as gas medium.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain complex oxides with stable oxygen non-stoichiometry and homogeneous chemical composition.
