FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer compositions for producing heat-insulating shells which can be used in making external heat-insulating and protective coatings in heat insulation of main and local oil and gas pipelines and other energy-efficient structures. Composition contains a phenolic binder based on phenol-formaldehyde resins grades FRV-1A and FRV-EM, carbomidofuran oligomer, mineral filler - lead-containing dust - waste from processing storage batteries, catalyst - acid-type foaming-hardening agent VAG-3, surfactant OP-10 (oxyethylated alkylphenol) and gas-forming agents - petroleum ether with boiling points of 40–70 °C and 70–100 °C.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing improved technical and operational and physical and mechanical properties of the end product.
