SUBSTANCE: method of producing limonene in volatile products of a mixture released during thermal decomposition of vulcanised rubber with polyisoprene rubber from a used wheel of a vehicle wheel. Invention relates to chemical engineering, particularly to thermal decomposition of materials, and more particularly to a method of producing limonene in volatile products of a mixture released during thermal decomposition of vulcanised rubber with polyisoprene rubber from a used wheel of a vehicle wheel. Novelty of the method is the use of a vessel with a cavity, a bottom, a side wall, a detachable cover, a source of heat energy, heat insulation, a supply branch pipe, a discharge branch pipe and a drain pipe communicated with the cavity of the vessel. In the cavity of the vessel, a three-dimensional element in form of a cup with an embedded cavity is formed from pieces of technical lead or its alloy. Said bent is arranged in cup embedded cavity. Said pressure is generated from tire wheel of vehicle and separate pieces of lead or its alloy. Before the melt is obtained, the wheel of the vehicle wheel is forced fixed in the embedded cavity of the cartridge in such a position that after receiving lead melt or its alloy, the wheel of the vehicle wheel is placed in the melt. Thereafter, the vessel cavity is sealed. Cavity of the vessel is filled with inert gas with respect to the limonene. Heat energy is supplied. Molars of technical lead or its alloy are melted, melt is obtained, which is enveloped with used tire of vehicle wheel. Thermal decomposition is carried out while maintaining melt in molten state during thermal destruction time.

EFFECT: technical result: implementation of the assignment, high efficiency of the thermal decomposition process, obtaining the target product - limonene in the volatile products of the mixture.
