FIELD: crushing or grinding of various materials.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to means of crushing materials, in particular to gyratory or cone crushers, and protective armour for such crushers. Crusher comprises a main frame and a crushing head mounted on the main shaft, wherein between the outer surface of the crushing head and the inner peripheral surface of the crushing cone provided inside the main frame, crushing gap G is formed. At that, the crusher additionally comprises at least one protective armour which is installed with possibility of being removed inside the crusher, wherein at least part of outer surface of protective armour makes wear surface. At least one protective armour comprises a layer of resilient material and wear-resistant inserts held by a layer of resilient material, and outward directed surfaces of wear-resistant inserts form a part of wear surface of protective armour. Crusher additionally comprises steel armour (11) arranged so that to close and protect the structural element of crusher, which is subjected to wear, wherein protective armour is attached to steel armour, and area of surface of protective armour is less than area of surface of steel armour, so that protective armour covers only part of area of surface of steel armour. Crusher can additionally comprise drive shaft, made with possibility to apply rotary motion to crushing head, wherein the main frame comprises a lower bowl having a shaft opening for the driving shaft to pass therethrough, and at least one protective armour is a driving shaft arm mounted so as to surround a portion of the drive shaft from above.

EFFECT: crushers are characterized by longer period of wear of protective armour made with possibility of its easy replacement.
