FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of applying a hot-melt composition using a semi-automatic silk-screen printing (SSP) apparatus. Method of applying hot-melt compositions involves milling paraffin to a homogeneous mass, adding benzene to it in ratio of 1:1, intensive stirring until dissolving paraffin, then adding paraffin and bringing the paraffin : benzene ratio to 2:1 with constant vigorous stirring, then on the stencil frame in an even layer of 5–8 layers, the photoemulsion is sprayed with total thickness of layers of 0.1±0.05 mm, after which stencil with applied photographic emulsion is illuminated using tracing paper with figures applied on it, excess photo emulsion is removed, stencil is dried at temperature of 30–40 °C for 6–8 hours, after which ready stencil is fixed on installation SSP, the obtained paraffin-benzene mixture is poured with thickness of 0.1±0.05 mm, the obtained mixture is extruded onto a prepared colored base and left until complete drying at temperature of 25 °C for 4 hours.
EFFECT: high rate of operation of the thermal indicator, shorter manufacturing time and easier production.
