FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting-off machine, which cuts high-temperature moving workpiece to be cut in synchronous motion with workpiece to be cut, is reliably protected against heat of workpiece to be cut and efficiently uses heat, and method of thermoelectric energy generation by means of above cutting machine. Cutting machine for cutting of high-temperature moving workpiece subject to cutting during synchronous movement with workpiece to be cut comprises cutting tool made with possibility of cutting of workpiece subject to cutting, a drive device configured to drive the cutting machine in synchronism with the workpiece to be cut, a water cooling plate configured to cool the cutting machine, and a device for generating thermoelectric energy, comprising a thermoelectric element for converting the heat of the workpiece to be cut into electric energy. Water cooling plate also serves to cool the low-temperature side of the thermoelectric element.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of billet cooling during cutting and higher efficiency of energy generation.
