FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of refractory articles and can be used in making construction ceramics with improved refractory and heat-insulating properties. Disclosed is a method of producing molded refractory articles based on zeolite-containing rocks and high-modulus polysilicate, involving preparation of a main component of a molding mixture and binder. In addition, zeolite-containing rocks for preparation of molding mixture are placed for averaging by moisture content and chemical composition into a mixer, held therein for 3 minutes at 150 rpm, and then mechanical extrusion is carried out at pressure of 20 MPa with diameter of holes of grid of 5 mm, obtained granules are subjected dusting with zeolite dust, and then thermally activated in a rotating oven for 30–40 minutes at temperature of 720–750 °C, after which the granules crushed and sieved, separating the fraction of filler d1=0.5–2.0 mm, and dust-like fraction d2 less than 45 microns, binder preparation is prepared by mixing dust fraction d2 (83 wt%) with high-modulus polysilicates with silicate modulus of not less than 3 (5 wt%), 80 % technical orthophosphoric acid (2 wt%) and water (10 wt%), obtained binder mixture in amount of 20–40 wt% is added to the main component of the molding mixture and mixed for 15 minutes at temperature of 15–30 °C, from the obtained molding mixture by way of vibration compacting at pressure of 30–35 MPa, articles are prepared, which are further subjected to steaming for 4–8 hours at temperature of 50 °C, finished products are laid on tray and packed with stretch film.

EFFECT: obtaining refractory articles based on zeolite-containing rocks and high-modulus polysilicates using non-firing technology and low power consumption.
