FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to electrolytic production of silver powders for use in electrical engineering and radioelectronic industry. Fine silver powder is obtained in nitrate electrolyte using silver of purity of not less than 90 % as soluble anode. Electrolysis is carried out in combination with an additional at least one insoluble anode, wherein content of silver in the electrolyte and particle size of the powder is controlled by varying the immersion depth of the insoluble anode.
EFFECT: method increases output of silver powder, improves controllability of the process and increases service life of the electrolyte.
