FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solar power engineering, namely to optical systems which increase concentration of light radiation. Planar gradient optical system includes gradient plate with smoothly varying refraction index from larger value on upper surface Nu to smaller value on lower surface Nl, and an optical wedge with an inclination β angle adjoining the lower surface of the gradient plate and optically coupled therewith. On the upper surface of the gradient plate there is a transparent ribbed layer with a refractive index Nu corresponding to the refraction index Nu the upper surface of the gradient plate, wherein the ribs are inclined to the surface of the gradient plate, which enables the sun rays to fall on the surface of the ribs at angle of 90° or at an angle in range of 83° to 97°.
EFFECT: increased concentration of solar radiation due to compression of light flux along two axes.
