FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petroleum engineering. Linear rack-and-pinion drive of suck-rod subsurface pump for oil extraction contains rack of rectangular or polyhedral section with closed through hole, support bearing assembly for suspension of rod or rod rotator. Rack has teeth on one or several faces with appropriate number of driving gears and electric drives. Presence of more than one driving unit allows mutual balancing of lateral forces from drive gears and reduction of metal consumption. Rack teeth can be spur, helical, chevron or arched. Rack housing is made as a prefabricated structure, its elements are welded or detachable. Rack composite structure improves manufacturability. Supporting bearing assembly excludes transfer of torque from pump and rods to rack, which allows to get rid of additional guides for fixation of rack.
EFFECT: invention can be used in pumping systems for oil production.
