SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for controlling the amount of adhesive supplied to a workpiece. System for remote monitoring of the adhesive is used in relation to an adhesive applied on workpieces moving along a production line. Reservoir, pump and application device are used for application of adhesive on workpieces. Control computer has corresponding data processing program. Pump cycles sensor determines pump cycles. Sensor of application device detects application of adhesive on workpieces. Workpiece sensor detects workpieces moving along the line. Control and monitoring device uses input from device for detection of application device and workpiece sensor to determine time of connection to each workpiece at specified speed, uses input from workpiece sensor and pump cycles sensor to determine number of workpieces per pump cycle, calculates ratio of connection time to total time per each workpiece, calculates the amount of adhesive used for said ratio of on-time to total time.
EFFECT: as a result, a system is developed, which is capable of controlling the amount of adhesive supplied to the workpiece, by controlling the strokes of the pump supplying the adhesive.
