FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to application of coatings, in particular application of coatings on inner surfaces of a substrate (base). Method of coating on workpiece (4) surface includes placing workpiece (4) in device (2) for coating and pre-filling (S2) of device (2) for coating by a coat-forming medium by means of pump (6). Method also involves filling (S3) of device (2) for coating by the coat-forming medium by means of measuring device (5). As soon as a level of the coat-forming medium reaches specified control level (R), a specified amount of the coat-forming medium is introduced into device (2) for coating by means of measuring device (5). Plant (1) for application of coating on surface of workpiece (4) comprises device (2) for coating, having chamber (21) for receiving the coat-forming medium and providing arrangement of workpiece (4), pump (6) to feed the coat-forming medium into device (2) for coating, measuring device (5) to feed the coat-forming medium into device (2) for coating and to measure a certain amount of coat-forming medium. Plant also comprises control device (10), providing prefilling of device (2) for coating by the coat-forming medium by means of pump (6), filling device (2) for coating by the coat-forming medium by means of measuring device (5) and actuation of measuring device (5) for feeding into device (2) for coating a predetermined amount of the coat-forming medium as soon as the level of the coat-forming medium reaches preset reference level (R). Plant can be used for partial application of coating on surface of workpiece (4) to the specified level. Preset amount of the coat-forming medium is determined by a volume filled from control level (R) to the level to which surface of workpiece (4) should be provided with coating.

EFFECT: ensuring short duration of the corresponding process cycle and high accuracy of coating application.
