SUBSTANCE: invention relates to caterpillar tractors with electromechanical transmission. Caterpillar tractor with electromechanical transmission comprises onboard power source (1), traction motors (2, 3), controller (6), frame (7) and running gear with bogies of caterpillar tracks (10), support rollers (11), caterpillar tracks (12) and driving wheels (13, 14) entering together with onboard reduction gearboxes (8, 9) and traction motors in one or several power units (15, 16). On tractor power units can be mechanically connected to caterpillar tracks and are not connected to each other or traction motors are connected to onboard reduction gearboxes from outside of tractor or controller is configured to implement automatic or automated control drives movement of power units (unit) (17, 18) in vertical plane with the possibility of supporting caterpillar tracks under drive wheels on the ground. Traction motors (4, 5) in power units can be connected to on-board reduction gearboxes (8, 9) on tractor outer side or on its frame (7) side and can be connected with caterpillar frame or bogies. This connection can be made either fixed or movable using cylindrical hinges and / or resilient elements. Axes of hinges (19, 20), providing for rotation of caterpillar tracks relative to frame and power units relative to caterpillar trucks, can be made combined or separate. Electric leads and pipelines of cooling system (21) of traction motors can be arranged inside hollow axes of hinges connecting frame (7) with bogies of caterpillar tracks (10). Tractor may contain pressure sensors in drive hydraulic cylinders used by controller (6) to calculate caterpillar pressure (12) to ground and subsequent control of drives (17, 18) under condition of this pressure stabilization.
EFFECT: higher ground clearance and reduced material consumption of caterpillar tractor structure with electromechanical transmission.
