SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, a computer-readable data medium and a system for managing smart contract updates. Method comprises receiving, from a user in a contract update management system, an update request indicating a change in the positions of the first smart contract, wherein said change in positions is a proposed update of the first smart contract; as reaction to performance of other, second, smart contract in network of chains of blocks is determined by means of contract updating control system, whether conditions for updating of the first smart contract are satisfied by inclusion of specified change in positions in it, wherein second smart contract sets said conditions; and by definition, contract updating control system that said conditions are satisfied, first contract is updated by contract update management system and said change is recorded in positions of first smart contract in one or more units in chain of blocks of said chain of blocks.
EFFECT: technical result consists in automation of smart contract updates control.
