FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling production of seamless pipes and long products of round cross-section. Multistand longitudinal rolling mill comprises row of three-roller stands with row drive of rolls arranged in series on support guides of pedestal, mechanism for transfer of stands and device for fixation and retention of stands including clamping hydraulic cylinders. Three-roll stands are equipped with transport rollers, pedestal support guides consist of row of in-series installed lifting-lowering and fixed sections. At that, lifting-lowering sections are made in the form of moving slides with rollers and having a drive from rod hydraulic cylinder with wedge chamfers contacting with slider rollers. Device for fixation and retention of each stand is made in the form of a hook lever interacting with available on the stand with a ledge hook and two hydraulic cylinders installed on the pedestal, one of which is connected to the hook lever, and the second one is articulated with its ledge through the eye, wherein holding hydraulic cylinders of stands are located: perpendicular to support pedestal guides.

EFFECT: invention provides reliable and accurate location of stands, their fixation and retention relative to preset position of rolling axis, high accuracy and quality of products.
