SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a ring opening polymerisation product; ring opening polymerizable product; composition; use of a ring opening polymerisation product and use of 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxylic acid and/or reaction product of step (a). Disclosed is a method of producing a polymerisation product with ring opening, comprising steps of: a) reacting at least one polyisocyanate and 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxylic acid, and step b) subjecting the reaction product to a temperature in the range of about 40 to about 150 °C in the presence of a catalytic amount of at least one non-nucleophilic base. Said composition contains a reaction product of at least one polyisocyanate and 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxylic acid, and a non-nucleophilic base. Ring opening polymerizable product is used to produce construction material, in particular binding substance, heat insulation material, sealing putty, or coating, as well as for production of mattress or wound cushions or for production of foam.
EFFECT: technical result is a method of obtaining a ring opening polymerisation product without using amine curing agents as a second component.
