FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding production and can be used in control devices of welding main parameters as automated temperature control means. Technical result is expansion of informative capabilities of system of automated control of temperature and condition of metal directly in area of welding head location during welding process and improvement of quality of welded seam. Automated monitoring of temperatures during welding is realized by using two temperature sensors, welding head with its modes control unit, measuring unit connected to temperature sensors and control unit. Temperature sensors used are ultrasonic transducers arranged on both sides of end faces of the welded metal sheets and mechanically connected by the bracket to each other and to the welding head with the possibility of movement along the butt ends of the welded metal sheets. At that, main acoustic axes of ultrasonic transducers are directed to welding head in directions perpendicular to ends of welded metal sheets, and two-channel ultrasonic flaw detector is used as measuring unit.

EFFECT: technical result is increase of reliability of automated control of temperatures during welding by means of temperature control directly in area of metal welded by welding head.
