FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering. Accelerometer comprises a housing, a physical pendulum in the form of an axisymmetric rod, a vibration period meter, having an electrical circuit with a light-emitting diode integrated into the pendulum along its axis, at a point offset from the middle of the pendulum swinging cycle inside the panel fixed to the accelerometer housing, there is a photosensor, which includes a volume slit diaphragm and a photocell. Axis of the pendulum slit is perpendicular to the pendulum swinging vector. Suspension of pendulum represents wide circular and narrow-cylindrical parts of rocking support, which are respectively movable and fixed parts of suspension of pendulum. There is an active system for thermostatting accelerometer.
EFFECT: high-precision determination of spacecraft translational acceleration.
