FIELD: urea production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-temperature stripping in a method of producing urea from ammonia and carbon dioxide. Method comprises forming an aqueous solution of urea at synthesis pressure, wherein the solution contains unconverted ammonium carbamate and ammonia, and also involves stripping of said solution. Solution is in contact with gaseous carbon dioxide acting as a stripping agent, and stripping takes place at solution synthesis pressure. At that, it is made in film-type shell-and-tube stripper, wherein liquid film of solution formed in stripper pipes has peak temperature of at least 220 °C.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of urea synthesis thermodynamics and kinetics.
