FIELD: high pressure vessels.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high pressure vessels, which are usually used to contain various fluids under pressure, for example, such as hydrogen, oxygen, natural gas, nitrogen, propane, methane and other fuels. High-pressure vessel for storage of fluids includes tank and coating arranged on external surface of tank. Tank defines cavity for storage of fluid media, and external surface of tank includes the first visual characteristic. Coating includes an indicator layer, an outer layer and a first intermediate layer. Indicator layer is placed on the outer surface, wherein the indicator layer includes a second visual characteristic which visually contrasts with the first visual characteristic. Outer layer is placed over the indicator layer, wherein the outer layer includes a third visual characteristic which visually contrasts with the second visual characteristic. First intermediate layer is positioned between indicator layer and outer layer, wherein first intermediate layer is visually transparent or semi-transparent. Invention also describes a coating comprising an indicator layer, an outer layer and a first intermediate layer.
EFFECT: invention provides a composite structure of containers having multiple advantages, such as light weight and resistance to corrosion, fatigue and catastrophic failure.
